कोरोना काळामध्ये महिंद्रा अँड महिंद्राने 'कौटुंबिक सहाय्य धोरण' (Family Assistance Policy) जाहीर केले असून त्याअंतर्गत कोविड-१९ (Covid - 19) मुळे मृत पावलेल्या कर्मचा-याच्या पति / पत्नी किंवा अवलंबित व्यक्तीला वार्षिक भरपाईच्या दुप्पट रक्कम व तसेच पाच वर्षाकरिता पगार देण्यात येणार आहे. त्याच बरोबर कंपनी मृत कर्मचाऱ्याच्या मुलांच्या १२ वी पर्यंत शिक्षणास मदत करेल आणि प्रत्येक मुलासाठी वर्षाकाठी २ लाख रुपयांपर्यंत तरतूद करेल असे वृत्त इंडिया टुडे ने दिले आहे.
कंपनीच्या जवळपास २५,००० कर्मचार्‍यांना लिहिलेल्या पत्रात महिंद्रा ग्रुपचे व्यवस्थापकीय संचालक आणि मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी अनिश शहा म्हणाले : कोविड - १९ द्वारे प्रभावित झालेल्या कुटुंबांचे ओझे वाटून घेण्यात आणि त्यांना मदत करण्यासाठी आम्ही येथे आहोत."
“एखाद्या सहकाऱ्याचा मृत्यू झाल्यास दुर्दैवी घटनेत अर्थसहाय्य मिळावे यासाठी आम्ही पुढील पाच वर्षांसाठी पगार देऊ; वार्षिक भरपाईच्या दुप्पट रक्कम मिळवून देऊ,” ते पुढे म्हणाले.
ठरलेल्या मार्गदर्शक सूचनांनुसार मृत व्यक्तीचे पती / पत्नी किंवा त्यांच्यावर अवलंबून असलेल्यांना पगार दिला जाईल.
शाह यांनी सांगितले की, महिंद्रा आणि महिंद्रा मृत कर्मचार्‍यांच्या मुलांच्या १२ वी पर्यंत शिक्षणास प्रति वर्ष २ लाख रुपये आर्थिक सहाय्य आणि सल्लागार सेवांच्या माध्यमातून आर्थिक नियोजन सहाय्य देतील, असे शाह यांनी सांगितले.
शहा यांच्या म्हणण्यानुसार महिंद्रा अँड महिंद्रा यांनी कोविड - १९ विरुद्ध एप्रिल अखेर ४५ वर्षांपेक्षा जास्त वयाच्या सर्व कर्मचार्‍यांना लसी दिली आहे.
जर एखाद्या कर्मचार्‍यांना रुग्णालयात दाखल करण्याची आवश्यकता असेल तर शाह म्हणाले: "आम्ही सर्व खर्चाची भरपाई करू आणि विविध खर्चासाठी दररोज १,००० रुपये भत्ता देऊ."
